2010 STREET STOCK V-8 RULES
Frame:
A. Stock for make and model
Roll Cage
A. All cars must have boxed roll cage with 1 ½” o.d. x .095
B. Must have 3 bars in drivers door and two in right side door.
C. Loop around engine compartment is permitted.
D. Two bars may run from top main roll cage loop to rear frame rails.
Wheelbase:
A. Stock for make and model.
Suspension:
A. Must be stock for make and model.
B. No jack bolts.
C. No racing shocks.
D. No racing springs.
E. Must be 0.50 from left to right on front springs.
F. No springs spacer & no lowering blocks.
G. No more than ¾ of an inch in length from side to side on rear springs
Steering
A. Stock for make and model.
Brakes:
A. No 3 wheel brake systems permitted
Wheels/Tires
A. Steel wheels only 8” maximum width. NO RECAP TIRES PERMITTED.
B. Street stock tires only 8” maximum width.
C. No off road tires. All wheels must same offset.
D. No mud grips.
E. Over size lugs and studs permitted.
F. No racing tires.
G. One Inch tolerance on A & B
End:
A. Stock for make and model.
B. May be locked.
C. No disc brakes on rear.
Body:
A. Outside appearance must be stock.
B. All glass and flammable material must be removed.
C. Headlights, and tail lights, and wheel covers must be removed.
D. Body may not be hulled.
E. Doors may be hulled for door bars only.
F. Doors must be strapped, welded, or bolted.
G. Fenders may be cut out for minimum tire clearance.
H. Front wheel wells may be removed.
I. Area between driver and gas tank must be totally covered with sheet metal.
J. Add weight for handling.
Bumpers:
A. Must be securely attached.
B. Must have lifting hook for wrecker.
C. Must NOT have exposed sharp edges.
D. Must be track approved.
Engines:
A. Must be stock for make and model.
B. No high performance equipment.
C. Must be in original.
D. Replacement 4 valve relief pistons. No light weight pistons.
E. .060 overbore permitted.
F. Headers permitted.
G. Chev GM 362 cubic inch maximum.
H. Cam lift 450 at valve .01 hydr/ck with solid lifter with zero lash.
I. Stock crankshaft & rods only flat top pistons. Balancing permitted.
Heads:
A. Must be stock for make and model.
B. No angle cut heads.
C. Stock valve job only.
D. No porting or polishing.
E. Stock replacement valve only. No pinned or screw-in stud permitted.
Intake Manifold:
A. No after market intakes permitted.
B. One 4 barrel type only.
C. No high performance intakes.
D. Must be stock for make and model.
Carburetor:
A. Stock for make and model.
B. Choke flap may be removed.
C. No holley carburetor.
D. A.F.B. carburetor permitted.
E. Adaptors Permitted
Ignition:
A. Factory single point or HEI only.
B. Stock coil only.
C. No ignition boosters.
Flywheel/Clutch
A. Stock for make and model.
B. Pressure plate and clutch disc must be stock for make and model.
Fuel:
A. Gas only.
B. No additives.
C. Fuel must check -5 or +5 with gas checker compared to track fuel.
D. Electric fuel pumps are not permitted.
E. Nitrous oxide systems are not permitted.
F. No superchargers or turbochargers.
G. Fuel cell permitted.
Radiators:
A. Any stock type radiator permitted
Starters
A. Any factory type starter permitted
B. Racing Radiators Permitted
Transmissions:
A. Stock 3, 4, or 5 speeds are permitted.
B. Automatic transmissions are permitted.
C. No modifications.
Safety Requirements:
A. Approved helmets and fire suits.
B. Properly mounted 3” quick release lap belt with 2” shoulder harness in good condition.
C. Properly mounted fire extinguisher within drivers reach.
D. Securely mounted fuel tank in trunk.
E. Must have securely mounted type or racing seat.
Numbers:
A. Must be at least 18” high on both sides of the car.
B. Must be visible and legible to scoring tower.
Protest Fees:
A. Protest any three (3) items except bottom end- $300
B. Bottom end- $600
C. Acceptance fee- $100
D. Track Retains $100
Visual Protest
A. Must be before event starts.
B. Visual fee $50 per item.
C. Track retains 100% of visual protest.
Weight Rule:
A. 3000 lbs after race.
